Strong American families are the surest way to ensure a strong American future. Investing time and energy in preparing children for life is a privilege and a duty of all parents. Government cannot take the role of a mother or a father, nor can government provide the moral values that are taught daily through our families. What government can do is allow families to keep more of their hard earned money, allow an atmosphere for a robust economy to be cultivated, and provide the protection at home and abroad so that families can live in peace. If our government can simplify its obtuse nature, then families will reap the benefits. Less government means more freedom to pursue the American dream.
